Consumed By A Beat is all about that rush of joy and catharsis that comes when the right music is playing at a club; whatever sweeps you up when you’re on the dance floor.

When I was writing Consumed By A Beat I wanted it to feel sleek and sensual, but also quite expansive. I worked on the track with a producer named Dion Shaw - he took a fairly simple instrumental I’d built and fleshed it out to be something that I think is much more full and beautiful.

Vocally I wanted to stack the chorus with harmonies to make it super immersive and arresting - just like dance floor moments I’m singing about in the song.
